Bulk messages
Sending bulk SMS or email to your customers, scheduling for later, automatic rules such as birthdays and holidays, the calendar, exclusions, email layout, templates and giving discounts with a message.
You can send announcements, campaigns and greetings to your customers in one go or automatically. The page is under Administration › Bulk messages and has these tabs:
- Broadcasts: All finished and running broadcasts.
- New broadcast: Send a message now or at a later date.
- Scheduled: Broadcasts whose time has not come yet.
- Automatic rules: Messages sent automatically on birthdays, special dates, holidays, fixed dates and specific days you add from the calendar.
- Calendar: Shows holidays and the days of your rules and broadcasts in a month view; click a day to add a rule.
- Templates: Saved texts you use often.
- Email layout: The logo, colour, footer and design of your emails; see Email layout for details.
- Customer discounts: Discounts given to customers; see Customer discounts for details.
New broadcast
- On Bulk messages, open the New broadcast tab.
- Optionally pick a saved text from Fill from template.
- Choose the Channel: SMS or Email.
- Choose the Type: Information goes to customers who allow notifications; Commercial message (campaign, discount, greeting) goes only to customers who have consented.
- For email, enter a Subject. Optionally choose a layout for this broadcast from Email layout; if you don't, the firm default is used.
- Write the text in Message. Use the variable buttons under the field to insert details such as the customer's name (see the list below).
- Under To, choose All active customers, Selected customer types or Selected customers. For selected customers, type a name in the search box and press Add. Add customers who must not receive the message to Customers to exclude the same way.
- Under When, choose Now or At a later date.
- For a commercial message you can turn on Give each recipient a discount and fill in the discount.
- Press Calculate recipients. You see how many people it will go to, how many customers have no permission and how many have no phone/email.
- If it looks right, press the send button showing the recipient count (or Schedule for a later date).
Example information message: "Dear {customer_name}, on 29 October we work only 10:00–16:00. {company_name}"
Message variables
Variables are replaced with each recipient's own details:
{customer_name}: The customer's name.{company_name}: Your company name.{discount}: The discount (e.g. 10% or 50 ₺). Only with a discount.{valid_until}: The last day of the discount. Only with a discount.
The last two are only used when you give a discount; do not use them in a message without one.
Scheduling for later
- In New broadcast, choose At a later date under When.
- Enter the day and hour in Send time. You can choose up to one year ahead.
- Press Schedule. The broadcast moves to the Scheduled tab.
To cancel a scheduled broadcast, press Cancel on its row in the Scheduled tab and confirm; no one receives the message. Recipients are determined at send time, so customers who give or withdraw consent before then are counted accordingly.
Automatic rules
Rules run automatically every day at the hour you choose. Each person receives one message per event per year.
- In the Automatic rules tab, press New rule.
- Enter a Rule name (e.g. "Birthday discount").
- Choose a Trigger (options below).
- In Days before enter a number from 0 (on the day) to 30, and in Send hour an hour from 0 to 23.
- Write the channel, type and message; for a commercial message you can add a discount and fill in Valid for (days). For email you can choose an Email layout.
- Optionally narrow the recipients: Customer types, Only these customers (sent only to the customers you pick) and Customers to exclude (never sent to them).
- Press Save. The rule appears in the list with an Active switch; turn it off to pause the rule.
Triggers:
- Birthday: Sent according to the date of birth on the customer card and of its contacts.
- Special date: Sent on special dates added to the customer card (e.g. founding anniversary). If you enter a name, it goes only on special dates with that name.
- Public / religious holiday: Sent on the first day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha, or on a holy night (kandil: Laylat al-Raghaib, Laylat al-Mi'raj, Laylat al-Bara'at, Laylat al-Qadr, Mawlid al-Nabi). The platform enters these dates every year from the Diyanet calendar.
- Holy-night day: A holy-night rule is sent on the day whose night is the holy night; for example Laylat al-Mi'raj is on 4 January in 2027.
- Twice in a year: Because the Hijri year is shorter, a holy night can fall twice in the same year (in 2027 Laylat al-Mi'raj is on 4 January and 24 December). The rule is then sent both times.
- Fixed date: Sent every year on the same day and month (e.g. 1 January).
- Specific day (once): Sent once, only on the date you choose (e.g. your opening discount on 15 November 2026). Choosing This year only in the calendar uses this trigger too.
Example birthday rule: type Commercial message, 15% discount valid for 7 days, message "Happy birthday {customer_name}! Enjoy {discount} off your orders until {valid_until}. {company_name}"
Example holiday rule: trigger Public / religious holiday › Eid al-Fitr, type Commercial message, message "Happy Eid from all of us at {company_name}."
Calendar
The Calendar tab shows the month starting on Monday. Colours:
- Yellow: Public and religious holidays (Eid, 29 October and so on).
- Purple: The send days of your automatic rules.
- Green: Scheduled or completed broadcasts.
Use the arrows in the header to change month, and Today to come back to the current month.
Adding a day from the calendar:
- Click the day you want to send a message on.
- If the day is a holiday, the rule form opens with the holiday selected and its name filled in.
- Otherwise you get two choices: This year only (the message is sent once, only on that date) or Every year (the message is sent on the same day every year).
- Choose the channel, type, message and recipients in the form and press Save. The rule shows in purple on the calendar.
Tips:
- If you choose Email as the channel of a holiday rule, the ready-made layout for that holiday is selected for you; you can change it.
- Clicking a purple rule opens it for editing; clicking a green broadcast opens its details.
- Only an Every year rule can be added to a day that has passed.
Who receives it and who doesn't
- A commercial message goes only to customers who have consented; an information message only to customers who allow notifications.
- If Only these customers is filled in, it goes only to them (their permission is still checked).
- Customers in Customers to exclude never receive it, even if they are in the audience.
- Customers without a phone (SMS) or email on file don't receive it.
- Inactive customers don't receive it.
Templates
- In the Templates tab, press New template.
- Fill in Template name, Channel, Type and Message. For an email template you can also choose the Email layout.
- Press Save.
To use a template, press Use in the list or pick it from Fill from template in New broadcast. Two templates on the same channel cannot have the same name.
Commercial consent and the opt-out link
- Commercial messages go only to customers whose card has Has consented to commercial messages (campaigns) ticked. Customers can also give or withdraw this consent themselves in the portal.
- A personal opt-out link is added automatically to the end of every commercial message. When the customer opens it and presses I don't want commercial messages, their consent is turned off; order notifications are not affected.
- Information messages go to customers whose SMS notification / Email notification permission is on.
- Customers transferred from the old system start without consent.
- If you connected your İYS account, customers who opted out in İYS are excluded from commercial messages; after Calculate recipients you see how many were excluded for this reason. Details: İYS integration.
SMS count, cost and quota
- Under the message box you see the character count and how many SMS one message counts as. Long messages with Turkish characters count as several SMS; up to 612 characters are allowed.
- After Calculate recipients the total SMS count is shown. If you use the platform SMS account, the estimated cost and your remaining allowance for this month are shown too.
- If the platform account's monthly quota is not enough, the send button is disabled. Narrow the audience or set up your own SMS account in Notification settings.
Discounts with a message
- A discount can only be given with a commercial message. It can be a percentage or a fixed amount (VAT included).
- Each recipient gets their own discount, which is deducted automatically from the price of their orders on the valid days; no code is needed.
- It is not applied to orders with a manually entered total. If several discounts apply at once, the one with the highest amount is used.
- The discount does not affect courier earnings; your company covers it.
Tracking broadcasts
The list shows each broadcast's time, type, message, recipient count and status (sent, queued, failed). Click a row to see details. Copy prepares a new broadcast with the same text. You can stop a running broadcast with Cancel; messages already queued still go out. Individual messages appear in the Notification log.
Good to know
- Each recipient gets a separate message; email addresses are not visible to each other.
- The same phone number or email address receives only one message.
- A broadcast can have at most 20,000 recipients.
Having trouble?
- Recipient count is 0: For commercial messages, nobody receives it if you have no consenting customers or customers have no phone/email on file.
- The birthday rule sent nothing: Customer cards must have a date of birth, and commercial messages need the customer's consent.
- The send button is disabled: Press Calculate recipients first. If the platform SMS quota is not enough, the button stays disabled.
- No Bulk messages menu: This page is only available to the company owner.
