Customer discounts

Giving customers a time-limited percentage or amount discount, how it is applied to orders, cancelling; date of birth and special dates.

You can give a customer a discount valid on certain days. It is deducted automatically from the price of orders the customer pays for on those days. Discounts are created in three ways: manually, with a bulk message or by an automatic rule (e.g. birthday). All of them are listed in Bulk messages › Customer discounts and in the Discounts section of the customer card.

Giving a discount manually

  1. Open the Customer discounts tab on Bulk messages, or go to the Discounts section on the customer card.
  2. Press New discount.
  3. If you did not start from a customer card, select the Customer.
  4. Choose the Discount type: Percentage (%) or Fixed amount (₺, VAT included).
  5. Enter the percentage or amount. A percentage can be at most 100.
  6. Choose the Start and End (inclusive) dates.
  7. Optionally enter Maximum number of orders; if left empty it is unlimited.
  8. Optionally enter a Name shown to the customer (e.g. "Birthday discount").
  9. Press Save.

How a discount is applied

Cancelling a discount

  1. Press Cancel on the discount's row.
  2. Confirm in the window that opens.

Cancelling does not change orders the discount was already applied to. Use the Active and upcoming, Expired and Cancelled filters to separate discounts.

Date of birth and special dates

For automatic rules to run on the right day, the customer's date of birth and special dates must be on their card.

  1. Open the customer card.
  2. Fill in Date of birth. Enter contacts' dates of birth in the Contacts window.
  3. In the Special dates card, press Add special date.
  4. Enter the Special date name (e.g. "Founding anniversary"), Day and Month. The year is optional.
  5. Press Save special dates.

Customers can also enter these details themselves on the My details page in the portal. A customer can have at most 20 special dates. To send messages on these days, see the automatic rules in Bulk messages.
