My jobs
Job list, new job notifications, job details, calling and directions, swiping to confirm pick-up and delivery.
Jobs given to you appear in the My jobs tab. A notification arrives when you get a new job.
Job list
- At the top: Active jobs, Delivered today and Cash on me.
- Filter the list with All, To pick up and On the way.
- Pull the list down to refresh.
- On a card, the Call and Directions icons go to the next address. Cash jobs show Collect cash · amount.
Job details
Tap a card to open it:
- The step bar at the top: Assigned › Pick-up › En route › Delivered.
- Pick-up and Drop-off cards: name, address, district. The next stop shows Now.
- Tap Call to phone, Directions to open the address in your maps app.
- The Collect (cash) box shows the money to collect and the Payer. If not cash, the Payment type is shown (On account, Card and so on).
- A coloured note box is your company's note for you. Read it.
- The camera icon at the top right (Add photo) adds a photo to the job.
Step by step
- When you collect the parcel, swipe the Picked up bar at the bottom to the right.
- At the drop-off, swipe the Delivered bar to the right.
- The Proof of delivery screen opens; see Proof of delivery.
You can deliver without marking Picked up: there is also a Delivered button at the bottom.
Scanning parcels
The job details show a counter such as Parcels 0/3: how many of the job's parcels you have scanned.
- When you collect the shipment, tap Scan pick-up; the phone's camera opens.
- Point the camera at the barcode on the parcel label. When it is read the counter goes up (e.g. Parcels 1/3).
- Move on to the next parcel. When every parcel is scanned, swipe Picked up.
- If a barcode cannot be read (torn or wet label), tap Enter barcode manually and type the code printed under the barcode.
- At the drop-off, tap Scan delivery, scan the parcels the same way, then swipe Delivered.
If your company has made scanning mandatory, Picked up or Delivered does not complete until every parcel is scanned; instead of the swipe you see a button such as Scan parcels · 2 missing; tapping it opens the scanner. If you scan a parcel from another job, you see a warning and nothing is recorded. Without internet, scans are kept on the phone and sent when the connection returns.
Delivery failed
If the recipient is not there, the address is wrong or the recipient refuses the parcel, record the job as Delivery failed.
- In the job details, tap the Delivery failed button at the bottom. The job must be Picked up.
- Choose the reason: Recipient not at address, Wrong address / not found, Recipient refused, Recipient unreachable, Business closed or Other.
- Write a note if you like. For Other the note is required.
- Take a proof photo if you like (e.g. a closed door).
- Save. Your company is notified; your location is added to the record.
- Then choose one of two ways: Retry sends the parcel out for delivery again (when you deliver, swipe Delivered as usual); Take back to sender makes the job Returning to sender, so take the parcel back to the sender.
- When you hand it to the sender, tap Return handed over and type the name of the person who received it. The job becomes Returned to sender.
You get your normal earning for a returned job. No parcel scanning is required for the return hand-over. You can record this without internet too; it is sent when the connection returns. If your company turns the job into a return or undoes a return, you get a notification.
Delivery code
If your company requires a delivery code, the job details show a Delivery code required box. When you pick up the package, a 6-digit code is sent to the recipient by SMS or e-mail.
- At the delivery address, ask the recipient for the code. You cannot see the code; only the recipient has it.
- Swipe Delivered. The delivery screen shows a Delivery code field.
- Type the code in the 6-digit code from the recipient field and complete the delivery.
- If the code is wrong, a warning shows the number of attempts left. Check the code with the recipient and type it again.
- If the recipient did not get a code, tap Resend code. A new code is sent and the old one stops working. You must wait 60 seconds between sends; you can send at most 5 times.
- If the code has not been sent yet, a Send code to recipient button appears; tap it.
After 5 wrong entries the code is locked. Tap Resend code or call dispatch. If the recipient cannot get the code, call dispatch; they can write a reason and allow delivery without the code. On a round trip the return delivery and returns to the sender do not need a code.
Location check
If your company has turned on the location check, the job details say "Location check is on". When you tap Picked up and Delivered, your location is compared with the address.
- Keep location permission and GPS on.
- Do the step when you are at the address, not on the way or far away.
- If your company uses warn mode, a step done from far away is saved but your company sees a warning.
- If your company uses block mode, the step is not accepted when you are farther than the radius. Go to the address and try again.
- If you are at the address but it is still rejected, call dispatch. The address location may be wrong; once dispatch grants a location exception, do the step again.
If your location cannot be found (GPS off, indoors), you see a warning. Steps done offline are checked when the connection comes back; if one is rejected, open the job and do it again.
Required photo
If your company requires a photo at pickup or delivery, you cannot complete that step without one.
- Before swiping Picked up, take a photo of the package (if a pickup photo is required).
- When you tap Delivered, the photo field on the delivery screen becomes required. Tap Shoot and take a photo.
- Show the package and the door in the photo. Avoid people's faces where possible.
- Without a photo you see a warning: "pickup photo required" or "delivery photo required". Take the photo and do the step again.
Good to know:
- Each photo is stamped with the time it was taken and your location. Your company sees this on the order page. Keep location permission on.
- The photo must be taken after you took the job. A previous courier's photo does not count.
- If you deliver without tapping Picked up first, the delivery photo also counts as the pickup photo.
- On a round trip, the delivery photo is required at the outbound delivery.
- No internet: The photo waits on the phone together with the step. When the connection comes back, the photo is sent first, then the step. Do not close the app or restart the phone.
- If you cannot take a photo (broken camera etc.), call dispatch; they can do the step from the panel.
Dropping at a hub
If your company uses a transfer centre (hub), you can drop a collected job at the hub instead of delivering it. Another courier makes the delivery.
- In the job details, tap the Drop at hub button at the bottom. The job must be Picked up or Delivery failed.
- Choose the Hub. If your branch has only one hub, it is selected for you.
- If the hub has shelves, choose a Shelf; otherwise you may type one. The shelf is optional.
- Optionally, under Parcels, tap Scan and scan the parcels you drop off.
- Tap Drop at hub. The job leaves your list and waits at the hub.
Cash you collected at pickup stays in your cash box. Round-trip jobs cannot be dropped at a hub; you complete them yourself. You can drop a job without internet too; the record is sent when the connection returns.
A job handed to you from the hub shows Taken from hub at the top of its details. Another courier collected it; you deliver it and you get the earning.
Round trips
- The card shows Round trip. The step bar becomes Assigned › Pick-up › Outbound › Return › Delivered.
- At the outbound address, swipe Outbound delivered. The status becomes Returning.
- Then go back to the start address and swipe Delivered.
If a job is taken from you
Dispatch can take a job back, cancel it or give it to another courier. You get a notification and the job leaves your list. If its details are open, you see This job is no longer yours.
Having trouble?
- It says the delivery code is wrong: Check the code with the recipient digit by digit. If it is locked, tap Resend code or call dispatch.
- It says you are far from the address: Go to the address and try again. If you are there, ask dispatch for a location exception.
- You see "Scan parcels · N missing" instead of Picked up: Your company has made scanning mandatory. Tap Scan parcels · N missing and scan the rest.
- List is empty: Your shift may be closed; see Shift.
- Shows Waiting to be sent: No internet; the step is saved on the phone. See Working offline.
- No Delivery failed button: The job is not Picked up, or on a round trip you have delivered the first leg. Swipe Picked up first; if that does not help, call your company.
