Delivery code
Make sure your shipment reaches only the right person; the one-time code sent to the recipient, asking for a code when you order, and what to do if the code does not arrive.
The delivery code makes sure the shipment is handed only to the right person. When the courier picks up the package, a 6-digit code is sent to the recipient. The courier hands over the package when the recipient tells them this code.
How does the code work?
- When the courier picks up the package, the code is sent to the recipient by SMS. If the recipient has an e-mail address on file, it is sent by e-mail too.
- The recipient keeps the code and does not share it.
- When the courier arrives, they ask for the code.
- The recipient tells the courier the code only at the moment of delivery.
- The courier types the code in the app. If it is correct, the delivery is completed.
The code is not shown to you (the sender); it is not visible on the portal or on the tracking link either. It goes only to the recipient.
Asking for a code when you order
Your company may have turned the code on for every order. If not, you can ask for it:
- Open the New order page.
- Enter the recipient and the other details.
- Tick Ask the recipient for a delivery code.
- Click Place order.
If the box is ticked and greyed out, this order already requires a code; you cannot remove it. To turn the code off, write to your company.
Keep the recipient's phone correct
- The code goes to the recipient's phone. Enter the recipient's mobile number correctly.
- If the phone is wrong, the code does not arrive and the delivery is delayed.
Having trouble?
- The recipient did not get the code: Call your company. They can resend the code, or verify the situation and allow delivery without the code.
- The recipient said the wrong code: The courier tries again. After 5 wrong entries the code is locked; your company unlocks it or sends a new code.
- I want to see the code too: For security the code goes only to the recipient. Ask the recipient.
- The box is missing or cannot be ticked: This order may already require a code. If unsure, ask your company.
