Earnings statements and approval
The monthly earnings statements Courino issues to you and that you issue to your couriers; review, approval or objection with an SMS code, payment and the evidence record.
The Accounting › Earnings statements page has two kinds of statement:
- My Courino earnings: If you use platform collection, every month Courino issues a statement of the earnings it will pay you from the amounts it collected from your customers on your behalf.
- Courier statements: The earnings statements you issue to your couriers every month. The courier sees the statement in the courier app and approves or objects.
A statement is frozen the moment it is issued: its content and SHA-256 digest are fixed and its number never changes. An amount that changes later does not alter the statement; it goes into next month's statement as a difference line.
Statement numbers
- Courino → firm:
CR-FIRMCODE-YYYYMM(e.g.CR-ACME-202610). - Firm → courier:
HK-FIRMCODE-YYYYMM-NNNN(e.g.HK-ACME-202610-0007). - If an objection is accepted and corrected, the number stays the same and the version goes up (v2, v3…). Your firm code cannot be changed after sign-up.
Approving your Courino earnings
- When a statement is issued, the earnings managers (users who can manage accounting) get an SMS and an email, and a Your earnings are due warning appears at the top of every panel page.
- Click Review statement. Gross collections, PayTR fee, commission, refunds and carry-over are listed line by line.
- If the amount is right, click I approve › Send an approval code to my mobile, type the 6-digit code you receive and click Approve.
- After approval you receive a confirmation SMS ("you approved statement no … on …"). Payment is made on the due date in Courino's payout setting (default: as soon as possible) and you are notified.
A statement that has not been approved cannot be marked as paid. The approval code is only sent to the verified mobile phone on your account; if you have none, verify it first on the Phone and email page.
Objecting
- Click Object on the statement.
- Tick the lines you think are wrong and write the Objection details.
- Send an approval code to my mobile › type the code › Send objection.
The objection goes to Courino operations. If it is accepted, a new version of the statement is issued with a correction line and comes back for your approval; if it is rejected, the same statement opens for your approval again with the reason.
Courier statements
- On the Courier statements tab pick the finished month and click Issue statements. A statement is issued to every courier who had jobs, fines or payments that month; couriers who already have one are skipped (clicking again is safe).
- The courier gets a notification and an SMS. They review the statement in the app and approve it, or tick lines and object, with a code sent to the courier's mobile.
- You are notified on approval and on objection. Open the objection: Accept and issue a new version (with an optional correction amount) or Reject (the explanation goes to the courier).
- After paying an approved statement, use Mark as paid with the bank receipt / reference number.
Courier statements are only listed for accounts that see all branches.
Payment is blocked if the IBAN changes
Every statement also records the payee's bank account (IBAN) at the time it was issued. If the payee's IBAN changes after the statement is issued, the statement cannot be approved or paid, and the list shows an IBAN changed label. There is no way to override this:
- Your Courino earnings: When you change your payout IBAN, Courino operations is alerted and reissues the statement with the new IBAN (same number, new version). Once you approve the new version with an SMS code, payment goes to the new account.
- Courier statements: If a courier's IBAN changes, click Reissue with new IBAN on the statement. The courier approves the new version again in the app; then click Mark as paid.
Evidence record
Every issue, approval, objection, resolution and payment is written to an append-only record that nobody (including Courino) can change or delete later. The record contains:
- Who: user, name, role, phone, firm code, session and token id.
- What: statement number and version, content digest (SHA-256), and for an objection the digest of the ticked lines and the explanation.
- When / from where: server time, real IP address and browser.
- SMS code: the phone the code was sent to, the SMS provider's message id, send and verification times.
The records form a hash chain per firm: each record contains the digest of the previous one, so changing or deleting a record breaks the chain. Verify chain at the bottom of the statement window checks the chain from the start; Evidence bundle (JSON) downloads all versions, records and the verification; Print opens the same information on a printable page.
Having trouble?
- No code arrives: Check that the mobile phone on your account is correct and verified; after a minute click Send a new code.
- "Statement changed" warning: A new version was issued while you were reviewing. Close the window, open it again and review the new version.
