Customer card
Editing customer details, contacts, notification preferences, account balance, login accounts, API keys and making a customer inactive.
The customer card brings everything about one customer together on a single screen. Open it by clicking the customer's name in the Customers list.
Editing details
- Change any field in the form on the left: Name / company name, Customer type, Price list, District, Address, phones, Email, Individual / company (and the company type), then Turkish ID number or Tax ID (VKN) and Tax office depending on the kind.
- Use the SMS notification and Email notification boxes to decide whether the customer gets order notifications.
- Click Save.
The Has consented to commercial messages (campaigns) switch works separately and is saved the moment you change it; the consent time appears below it. You must get this consent from the customer. The Source label below it shows where the consent was last changed (panel, portal, opt-out link, İYS…); details: İYS integration.
Contacts
The Contacts section holds the people who get notified about orders. Click Add and enter a name, mobile phone and email; choose the channels with the SMS and Email boxes. Click an existing contact to edit it. Untick Active for a contact who no longer works there.
Sections on the right
- Account: Shows the Unpaid charges total; click the amount to open that customer's unpaid records. If the customer type uses prepaid balance, Prepaid balance and recent movements also appear.
- Branch price lists: If you have more than one branch, you can choose a separate price list for each branch. For a branch left on Default, the branch's default list is used, or the customer's general list if the branch has none.
- Customer panel accounts: The customer's portal accounts, their permissions and last sign-in time. See Customer portal accounts for details.
- Integration API keys: The customer creates keys in the portal to connect their own software. Here you can see the keys and close a key you suspect has leaked with Revoke. The customer also sets up webhook subscriptions in the portal. You can send your customer the Creating an API key and Integration API articles; the overview page is courino.com/en/developers.
- Resetting the password revokes keys: If you reset the password of the customer's login account (or the customer changes it), all API keys of that account are revoked. Remind the customer to create a new key for their integration.
If online payment is on, you can send the customer a payment link with Payment link in the header.
Making a customer inactive
- Untick Active in the form.
- Click Save.
Inactive customers are hidden from the Customers list by default; choose Inactive in the Status filter to find them. An inactive customer's mobile phone is freed and can be used in another record. When you make the customer active again, you get a warning if the number is in another active record.
The Delivery code field sets whether orders sent by this customer require a code; see Customer-specific setting.
Having trouble?
- The form is greyed out: You don't have permission to manage customers; you can only view.
- The Account section is missing: You don't have permission to view account and invoice information.
- Saving says type, list or district is required: The record was imported incompletely from the old system; choose the empty fields and save again.
- "Awaiting approval" appears instead of the Active box: The customer signed up in the portal and is waiting for approval. See Customer sign-up approval.
